Eliminating 2,500+ hours of annual regulatory work
Applying software and AI to manual regulatory workflows while owning the service business those workflows support.
2,500+ hours saved annually
Context
Manual regulatory work consumed capacity in a recurring healthcare services business. My responsibility spans both the operating model and the tools used to support delivery.
My role and ownership
As Director of Radiation Safety Support Services, I set priorities, personally build tools, and lead teams that develop and implement them. This connects technical execution with P&L accountability rather than treating automation as a standalone experiment.
The work
- Developed an internal web application and automation pipeline for manual regulatory work.
- Led implementation alongside the teams responsible for building and using the tools.
- Built additional sentiment-analysis capabilities around customer support interactions to surface potential churn risks and upsell opportunities.
- Used service uptake connected to dosimetry as an adoption signal. An exact adoption-rate series is not presented here.
Outcomes
- Eliminated 2,500+ hours of manual regulatory work annually.
- Released operating capacity to support a growing software-and-services business.
- Brought operational leadership, software development, and implementation responsibility together under one accountable owner.
