Health Physics Radiation Conversion Tools Suite

A toolkit for medical/nuclear/radiation workers and students.

Absorbed Dose

Convert between SI (Gy, mGy, μGy) and traditional (rad, mrad, μrad) units. 1 Gy = 100 rad.

Equivalent or Effective Dose

Convert between SI (Sv, mSv, μSv) and traditional (rem, mrem, μrem). 1 Sv = 100 rem.

Exposure

Convert between SI (C/kg, etc) and Roentgen. 1 R = 2.58 × 10⁻⁴ C/kg.

Radioactivity (Activity)

Convert between SI (Bq, kBq, MBq, GBq) and Ci, mCi, μCi, nCi, pCi. 1 Ci = 3.7 × 10¹⁰ Bq.

Energy

Convert between Joule, eV, keV, and MeV. 1 eV = 1.60218 × 10⁻¹⁹ J.

Radon Exposure: WL, WLM ↔ MeV/L, J/m³

Convert between Working Levels (WL), Working Level Months (WLM), MeV/L (classic), and SI units (J/m³, J·h/m³). 1 WL = 1.3×10⁵ MeV/L = 2.08×10⁻⁵ J/m³.

Calculate Exposure Rate from Detector Current

Input the detector current and system gain (in C/R). Output is exposure rate in R/h. Example: 0.6 μA, gain 6e-11 C/R → 36 R/h.

Frequency & Wavelength Converter (Nonionizing)

Converts EM wave frequency (Hz/MHz/GHz) and wavelength (m/cm/mm/nm): λ = c/f, where c = 2.998 × 10⁸ m/s.

Linear Interpolation Calculator

Finds y for a given x along the straight line from (x₀, y₀) to (x₁, y₁).
